Introducing Samantha Rink
Hi there. My name is Samantha Rink, and I’m an intern here with Reactor Media. I am currently a student at Appalachian State University in North Carolina working on my Bachelors Degree majoring in Commercial Photography and Graphic Communications Management.
I’ve learned a lot in the classroom, but I wanted to get more real world experience where I could apply everything I’ve learned and fill the gaps that a textbook can’t provide. That’s why I decided to pursue this internship at Reactor Media. I’m excited to see firsthand how the commercial side of photography works, from assisting on professional shoots to understanding the technical and creative aspects of creating visual content for clients.
My journey into photography began back in high school when I picked up my first camera, a Nikon D5600, and quickly realized how much I loved capturing moments and telling stories through images. Over time, I discovered a deep passion for product, wildlife, and landscape photography. There’s something about freezing time and bringing a new perspective to the world that I’ve always found fascinating.
Outside of the studio, I’m still capturing the world through my lens, whether that’s exploring nature for wildlife photography, experimenting with different setups for product shots or just walking around my families 11 1/2 acre farm just seeing what I can find. I’m always looking for new ways to grow as a photographer.
I’m excited to continue learning and growing at Reactor Media and can’t wait to see where this internship takes me.
